Especially written for a friend

When I am lost in thoughts As my reality is beyond imagination When I am lost in clarity As my confusion is too overwhelming When I am lost in hope As my rigor is darker than it may seem When I am lost in courage As my battle is soul-trembling When I am lost in peace As my fear is overlapping with doubt When I am lost in faith As my chain is entrapping the light Remind me that when troubles weigh heavily Beyond what my shoulders can carry Beneath them I can still rise above Because You are there to carry me through That tomorrow is a new dawn And my morning is close at hand I will hinge on to a single truth I know and believe In You I can cease striving and just find my rest. Because among all the encounters I had with you ever since childhood, that moment was the most intimate, the most genuine, and the most gentle which I will safe keep inside my heart for the rest of my life. To tell you honestly, aside from my brother’s death, your demise affected me in ways I did not expect. That morning when I held your hand to pray for you, when you leaned over my shoulder and cried up to that evening when I and Rea were outside the OR praying, waiting, bargaining for a glimpse of hope that you will come out from the door alive was tantamount to the pain and denial back when I lost my brother unexpectedly. I was broken beyond ...
